As day turned to night on the slopes of the Bald Mountain something special happened last month. A clandestine group of racers gathered to pay homage to the strade bianche of Provence.

Ventoux Race 2026 was an encounter with the landscape: forestry roads, hunting paths, old logging routes and ice-makers’ tracks. Was it a mountain bike race with gravel bikes, or a rally with pedals? Too fast to care…

Ventoux Race 2026 was underground. No social media, no support and no signs. Brutal climbs and descents. Techno blasting from the van at the finish line as riders looped through the dust. Chain lube and coffee ruled the night.
